The December 22 Astronomy Picture of the Day featured a photo of "Trifid Pillars and Jets", a stellar nursery in the Trifid Nebula. The APOD photo looks like a winged unicorn, which inspired me to paint one. This is a digital painting done in Procreate on iPad, with final finish work done in Photoshop.
